Ifagalz

Welcome to Ifagalz. What exactly is Ifagalz you might be thinking as you scroll through the website. Ifagalz was a project that began 8 years ago while I was attending the Oregon State University, Spring of 2003 to be precise. As a student of the University, I was allotted an amount of space on the server to create my own personal page. I created it and then the thought of creating Ifagalz came to mind.

How did the name Ifagalz come to be?

Well, it is kind of interesting, as I was sitting in my Garage contemplating a name for the new site I was going to make, it pops into my head how interesting it would be to have a name reflecting the girls of my beloved Ifalik. And it was somewhat ironic as our tradition dictates that girls don’t go beyond Elementary School to have my own girls growing up very far from home, and having my cousins and my nieces in colleges. It is a cross road for these girls so to honor that change in our tradition, I decided upon the name Ifagalz… short of Ifalik Gals.

Now 8 years later, Ifagalz is coming to life again.

To summarize it all, Ifagalz is a website created to honor the changes that has come to our shores.
