And it is the reason I had been off this blog for that long. I am drowned with remodeling chores. First, I had to tear things apart and then put them all back together, hopefully to make it look and feel a lot better.
So far, so good. I started in the 2nd Master Bedroom. Believe it or not, there are 2 Master Bedrooms in this house. That is mostly done, except for some touch up paintings and sealings to do. Next, I did the family room. Took out the carpet and installed laminate flooring which looks way much better. Much cleaner and feels like you can breathe finally in there. lol. After that, I did two regular rooms, taking out the carpet, repainting the whole room and installing laminate floorings.
After paintings in those rooms, I would use the leftover paints on the public bathroom upstairs. The two regular rooms share this one bathroom I called the public bathroom. The master bedrooms have their own. Now that I had done those two rooms, I finally decided to do a little work on the outside.
And the timing couldn’t be better. Today, it will be in the upper 50s and tomorrow will hit 60. No rain in sight for the next couple of days. So, I will be outside working on the curb appeal.
Forgot to mention, this house has two sets of heating and water heating units. I say this house is really 2 houses in 1. The only thing missing on my side of the house is a kitchen. And so yesterday, I hired these dudes to come and install brand spanking new heaters and ac on my side of the building.
Now my wife is having a second thought about selling our house. She started yesterday upon finding out that I am spending almost $10K on these units alone. She was not having a good day yesterday. Complaining all day why I had to get a new ac when it’s not required and stuff.
But the more she complains about these, the happier I am because she’s reminding me that the buyers of my house are going to be similarly if not overly excited about all of these things my wife is complaining about. Hahahahaaha.
On the way to drop her off to work, I told her it’s too late to complain and having second thoughts now because we had already signed off on the contract to sell our house. No turning back anymore. She laughed so hard and said she’s ok with it since she’ll have a good time eating fresh KON, breadfruit, taro, banana and she’ll not be looking at the clock any longer to know when to get ready for work.
So I guess, I am ready. A couple more things to get done including cleaning out my house. I am not selling anything. I will fill up a container to take it for a ride.
