It’s an awesome day to be a Beaver and a proud moment to be an Ifalikese! All thanks to the hard work and dedication of Keali Wichimai and the support of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wichimai along with all the soldiers of brothers and sisters, uncles and aunts that helped in whatever ways they could to keep Keali going so we could witness his momentous achievement.
Kealii graduated today with the largest class the Oregon State University has ever produced. Reser stadium was packed with family and graduates and not to miss a beat, some pot smoking, snow thrower, ugly duckling kinda spoil part of the graduation by mistakenly flying his Uckly banner above and around the stadium. Bad, Bad move. lol. But as classy Beavers, we’ll let it fly.
Kealii, thank you so much for bringing all of us that were there together to celebrate and to witness your achievement. As a fellow Beaver, I couldn’t be more prouder. And as a fellow Ifalikese, I couldn’t be more happier. You are a great example of what an Ifalikese can do when s/he puts the mind and soul to the learning process. Please continue the hard work so that you may bring me back to Beaver Nation again soon. It was really a joyous and proud moment for you and your parents.
Uncle San and Auntie Donna, many Congratulations to you two for a wonderful parenting you’ve done. You two have brought Kealii to where he is today, and we all thank you for it. I must say this out loud. Thank you for supporting Kealii’s decision to go to the best school in Oregon! I believe, that is the best parenting decision you have made! Hahaha. Just kidding, but still Go Beavs. Above all the jokes, thank you for showing us the way.
And to all of us Ifalikese out there, I must say thank you to whatever you do to encourage and to support our Ifalik student to do his/her best so that one day, we can all come together in celebration of their achievement. I know how proud you all must be of what Kealii did today. Let that be the reminder that every Ifalik kid can do this and we must be there every step of the way to support them.
To our Ifalik students currently in school at every level, let Kealii’s achievement today be the proof of what hard work and dedication can lead to. So as I prepare to leave the City of Vancouver, Washington, on a beautiful morning of a Father’s Day, let me leave you with this, WITH DEDICATION AND HARD WORK, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. Excuse me yelling but I have to so you can hear me. lol
