“The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.” –GP
“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.â€
Ifalik I must say is home to some real popular Warriors and the best Commander in Chief in the world. Let’s not forget Mailias and his friend Mailipo from Eau and their commander in chief Moushmwai. The Commander In Chief uses his influence and power to rile up his warriors, Malias and Mailipo and they came up with some War tactics to defeat their enemies. It is a long story but I salute our young warriors for walking the same path.
Our tiny Island of Ifalik today has produced some fine young men and woman serving in the US Arm Forces. On behalf of all the Ifagalz followers, we thank you and salute you for your services to America and our country, the Federated States of Micronesia. It’s your sacrifices that makes me sleep well at night knowing that America will be safe and that I will be able to walk into my workplace the next day and it will still be there. You guys are the role models for our young generation.
Please take the time to thank each other and God for keeping you safe and keep on asking him to be with you throughout your services and bring you home to us safe.
On this Veteran’s Day, all islanders must join hands in saluting our young men and women serving in the US Armed Forces. Your sacrifices will always be appreciated, honored and remembered. Thank you all for your service to our country.
Last but not the least, always remember what Commander George Patton said, “The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his.” You all take care now.
